The Ventures just returned from an 8-day run through Canada, with concerts in Orillia (Ontario) at Casino Rama, McPhillips Street Casino in Winnipeg and Casino Regina, Regina. It was such a pleasure to see all the fans, and to know how many people are still enjoying The Ventures music. The guys did autograph sessions after each show, and the fans were just amazing – and patient! – because some of them had to wait over an hour before they got to talk with the group.
It is always our privilege to meet with fans at our shows, and we were especially gratified by the tremendous response at all the venues.
Del Halterman, co-writer of The Ventures’ book (with Don’s late mom, Josie) surprised us when he came to see the concert in Regina – sorry we didn’t have books to sell (they’re a bit too heavy to transport in any number!)
