I just received a copy of this book from the author, Richard Aquila.  Some time ago, pre-Covid I believe, I spoke with him about The Ventures and he told me about the book he was writing, covering the early 1960’s in rock & roll history.  Obviously, The Ventures were a part of that along with so many icons of that period.  I am enjoying reading the book which is, of course, very nostalgic for me and I’m sure would be for many Ventures fans.  It is available on Amazon and I would highly recommend it.  Mr. Aquila is very knowledgeable: he interviewed many of the artists who are featured in the book as well as those who knew them, the result being a feast for those who enjoy reading and reliving the “good old days” and remembering the great music we all shared at that time and even now, as it is timeless.
