PBS special airs in December 2011 Posted on December 3, 2011 . The long-awaited PBS 60’s special taped at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh, PA in May 2010 has finally been released and is airing through the month of December 2012, during the PBS pledge drive period. It is titled ’60s Pop, Rock and Soul: My Music’ and is hosted jointly by Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits and Davy Jones of Monkees fame. The line-up for The Ventures at this taping will be a little unfamiliar to fans – Don Wilson on rhythm, Bob Spalding on lead, Leon Taylor on drums and Ian Spalding (Bob’s son) on bass. At the taping, we recorded Pipeline, Walk Don’t Run and Hawaii Five-O. We know that they used Hawaii Five-O on this concert, but we are not sure if the other two songs are included. If not, they may show up at a later date on another special. http://kearth101.radio.com/2011/11/29/peter-noone-davy-jones-host-pbs-special-60s-pop-rock-soul-my-music/ Category: Music
