First of all, we would like to give a big thank-you to the Historic Egyptian Theatre in Park City, UT, to Randy, Amber, Christie and all the stage staff, as well as the wonderful volunteers at front of house. Thank you also to the local radio and TV stations who did interviews with the group to help publicize the shows. Everyone made us feel very welcome at the venue – and the audiences were tremendous – the reception on all 3 nights was great and the group enjoyed themselves as much as the crowd. It was terrific to see fans from as far away as Calgary in Canada, Idaho, Colorado etc., as well as many local Park City and Salt Lake City patrons. Of course – as should be expected – Leon was very warmly greeted as a ‘local’ so we hope to be back in Utah again soon! Gerry’s participation was also extremely well received, especially his signature ‘walkabout’ in the audience during ‘House of the Rising Sun’, and the universally popular ‘Classical Gas’. Our tour director, Jack DeFranco, prepared his spectacular video presentation including the footage of both Leon and his father, Mel, during Leon’s drum solo at the end of the show. The group members all enjoyed meeting fans after the shows, when they had an opportunity to sign autographs and chat with everyone.
