Today, June 19, 2019, Pony Canyon released the latest Ventures’ CD in Japan. This is 2-CD set, recorded live at Daryl’s House Club in Pawling, NY on January 24th, 2018 and contains 29 tracks. Of course, since this is a recording of a live Ventures’ concert, many of the standard songs are included but there are a number of less-exploited titles, including “A Go Go Dancer”, “Runnin’ Wild”, “Nutty”, “The Savage” and “Yellow Jacket”, all from the early years of the group’s existence. For anyone in the US or elsewhere who wishes to order a copy of this CD, the price will be $35.00 As usual, I will be bringing back copies from Japan after my visit in early September 2019: these will be signed by the members of the group so, if you are interested, please e-mail me at fionataylor@theventures.com or call me at 818-903-6381, and place your pre-order. Your credit card will be charged when the CD is shipped to you, not before. For anyone who will be attending the Fan Jam in Philadelphia on October 5, I will be able to hand-deliver your CD to you there.
