We are all completely in shock over the terrible devastation in Japan in the wake of the 8.9 earthquake and the resulting tsunami. All of us know this part of Japan very well, having been in Sendai and Miyagi Prefecture many times over the years, as well as Fukushima and all the surrounding areas. We wish to send our prayers and thoughts to all our fans and friends in Japan – indeed, to all the people of Japan. The Ventures have a history of almost 50 years in Japan, and we are hoping that we will be able to do whatever we can to help in the aftermath of the horrible disaster. We will be discussing this with all our support team in Japan – the record companies, musical instrument companies, sub-publishers and agencies.
